I’m 5’8 and 130 pounds. I’m going to join the high school football team next year and i want to get my body ready. I don’t have any exercising machines at home but i do have some dumbbells. I plane to workout at least an hour for about 4 or 5 days a week.

In short, its nearly vital. Cardiorespiratory/vascular exercise is great for heart health. There are very few chronic diseases out there that aren’t linked to obesity so losing unnecessary weight is great from that standpoint as well.

Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don’t get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don’t work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That’s why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet’s are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that’s how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don’t overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It’s more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.

I got nice abs by working them alot. Abs required lots of exercises to get a six pack. You will want to do a lot of: Bicycle Exercise
Captain’s Chair
Exercise Ball Crunch
Vertical Leg Crunch
Torso Track
Long Arm Crunch
Reverse Crunch
Full Vertical Crunch
Ab Rocker
Plank on Elbows and Toes

You’ll want to concentrate on your lats and triceps.
If you have access to a gym then doing lat pulldowns and tricep presses are a good way to go. Medium weight, 10-15 reps, 2-3 sets. If you can complete all reps, then raise the weight, if you can’t then lower it.
If you are working out at home try to set up dip bars – two parallel bars about shoulder width apart. Hold yourself up on them and slowly lower your body until your elbow forms a 90 degree angle, then raise yourself back up.

stop drinking all alcohol. and soda alot of the bloating makes that area look bigger, if you could really drink water only i think in about a week your belly would look alot smaller. its so easy i gotta try it

I have a one month old and I am looking to start to exercise to loose some more weight (i have already lost most of what i gained while pregnant). I breast feed so I cant really restrict my diet in anyway and I do not want to take her to a gym.
I am looking for something that isnt too involved (i will probably be interrupted during it to keep her from fussing) and I need something easy to understand because I do not know much about this stuff.

Men’s Health Magazine has great whole body workout routines every month, same with Men’s Fitness. Pick up one of these and you’ll find all kinds of good stuff. For sprinting, consider plyometrics. It involves a lot of explosive moves and jumping stuff. Good luck

The best equipment is a set of adjustable dumbbells, and a door frame pull up bar. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it is truly all you need to develop your body. Any exercise that can be done on a bowflex (or any other high end piece of equipment) can alternatively be performed with these items (most of the time).
As for cardio, you can perform plyometric training (jump training) and achieve the same workout as you would going for a run or for a jog. The only piece of equipment you may need for this is a plyo box, but that doesn’t take up much room at all, and it is not necessary. Hope this helps out!

Is there a way to work out without weights at home or a way to do aerobic exercises in your bedroom? I want to start working out, but don’t have weights. Plus I need to lose about 20 lbs. I weight 220lbs and I’m 6’4″. I’m about 20 lbs more than I’d like, maybe more, I have a fat stomach, but harder to tell with clothes on but I can def see it without a shirt. Will I have excess skin in that area if I lose weight or would I have to weigh more than that? Will skin retract or no?

yoga takes fairly little room… if you are on an upstairs floor then you can’t get much cardio without making a lot of noise, and cardio is what you want to reduce weight, for the most part. yoga is good for looking good though.

50-150 situps a day (i recommend over 100) am sure you can do it am only 12 and i am only 4’11″ i can do 130 a day
