The Total Gym is a really good piece of equipment and you can incline the bench and do sit ups for your abs.It folds up nicely as well and doesn’t take up too much space. My neice loves her ab doer but I don’t have one so I can’t vouch for it. She has lost a lot of weight though but she uses other equipment as well.The best thing for your mid section is to twist your upper body from side to side while keeping your feet and lower body still, and doing the exercise where you bend from side to sde while reaching your arm over your head and stretching to that side, also while laying on the floor put your feet together and lift your legs straight up in the air. And contrary to what you hear from the folks trying to sell you exercise equipment crunches and sit ups. God bless!!
A good weight machine like bow flex or solaflex is the best.
Another good one is the Nordic trac ski machine it works both upper and lower body.
Another good one is a stepper climber combination.
About the only thing I have ever found that works with abs is lots and lots of set ups and crunches.
All you need for a tremendous ab workout is you and the floor. But if you really want to get crazy and be a big spender you can invest in an exercise ball and a yoga mat. I own the Total Gym, nice equipment – but not neccessary. For abs, there is nothing you will be able to buy that can match the vercitility and efficiency of an exercise ball.
